Napoleon was defeated and sent in his first exile at the island of Elba in April 1814.He was intent on returning as Emperor. Hoping to come back as Emperor he landed at the nearby golfe juan bay next door on 1st march 1815. All the monarchs and rulers of Europe were making deals at congress of Vienna while relaxing and partying. There was terror and trepidation and a fear of War upon return of Napoleon on the continent of Europe. Napoleon returned to Power but only for 100 days and then was defeated in the Battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815.
